In January 2021, Bord na Móna ended all peat harvesting activities and have begun their transformation into a climate solutions company. Michael Yeates was employed by Bord na Móna during the company's peak at Derrygreenagh Works in Westmeath and Offaly in the 1970s and 1980s, he still lives in a Bord na Móna employee housing estate. In this documentary short film, I interview him about his past and his thoughts on the future of the company and the future of the area.
