Bio:
Seán Kelly (B. London 2000) is an Irish photographer and visual artist based in Offaly and Dublin, Ireland. Seán recently graduated with a First Class Honours BA (Hons) Degree in Photography from the Institute of Art, Design + Technology, Dún Laoghaire (IADT), where he now works as a Tutor-Demonstrator.
Seán’s photographic art practice focuses on rural Ireland, particularly the decline of the peat industry and its impact on Midland communities. His work has earned recognition, including being shortlisted amongst 26 other visual art graduates for the prestigious RDS Visual Art Awards 2023. His work has been exhibited at Esker Arts Centre in Tullamore and at the IADT On Show graduate exhibition.
Currently, Seán is a contributing photographer for The Thin Air, one of Ireland’s leading music and culture publications. His work has also been featured by The Goo Magazine and Four Four Magazine. His portfolio also includes extensive sports and event photography, a passion he has pursued since his early teens.
Seán recently served as the President of IADT Students' Union for the 2023-2024 Academic Year.
